Having the hissy SBDs that have been circulating for years isn't having a new HDCD commercial release, if previous commercial releases are any guide. Not for me, anyway.

Was thinking the same. Will buy it for my brother, then enjoy it just the same.

How's everything going?

Good to hear. Yeah, would love to see Ween soon, or any show for that matter. Saudi is going well, off to India next week for a music tour, should be fun.

Have I missed anything on here, been away for the longest time since 05.

did you see my post on that too BD? Freakin idiots!

"who is this?"

" man, they're ugly" because of course I base my musical tastes on appearances - ( Bring on Justin Beirber or whatever that kids name is )

and I'm sorry but I just do not get the Dave Matthews band AT ALL. Seems like Frat Boy and trendy chick trying to be cool music to me.

I saw your post. I was cracking up while watching some of the Bonnaroo stuff. I loved the fact that some kids actually had no idea who John Fogerty was although they could identify some of the songs.

And I've never gotten the DMB thing musically although I will say he and his bandmates seem like decent enough guys from what little I know about them. Then again, the REM guys are great guys and I completely get why some people can't stand their music (especially post "shiny happy people" era)

yeah they do seem like nice guys, and it's not like they suck, I just don't get the mass appeal at all.

i didn't watch but one song of the webcast, we were getting out 2 hours of sun for the weekend so i had to get back outside.

There were some pretty pathetic comments to be sure

Parts were real good - mostly the newer stuff. Then again, I'm also a sucker for the old CC&Rs swamp boogie thang he does so well. Of course, when he went into Midnight Special I flashed on Harry Dean Stanton's performance of the same in Cool Hand Luke....

I didn't you realize you were a big CCR fan. Me too. Of course i grew up on it. The Mrs. is even a bigger fan than me, LOVES it. I like to tell her the same story every time because it annoys her : )

my folks lived down the street from them in El Cerrito before they hit it big, when they werre actually still literally a garage band. Before I was born but my Mom used to take my sister for walks and hear them playing.

I don't know of a reason to buy this. It's said to be complete, 3 CDs. But what I have (downloaded from the now defunct gdlive) is 6 CDs. The difference may be because what I have includes the New Riders stuff as well. And I like to have it all. So I don't consider this new offering to be complete.

I have those 6 discs as well. With these Road Trips I always find some better cases to keep them in, and if I have the show in reasonable quality I'll paste them together to make the show complete.

They said practically complete, and the 6 discs (actually, 7 I think) do indeed include NRPS, and they're by no means 75+ minutes per disc (at least one is less than 40 minutes, IIRC).
